Abstract:
It is seen that the bitumen, which is the most important binding that causes the asphalt mixture
to adhere to the pavement, is effective on the mechanical properties of the microstructures such
as consistency-elastic. In addition, studies have been submitted in which various polymers are
added to improve bitumen, increase durability and improve mechanical properties. For this
reason, 50/70 penetration of pure bitumen was added to different ratios of polymers such as
polyester and rubber. The capacity and loss factor of pure and doped bitumen samples were
measured depending on temperature, frequency, and thickness. Dielectric constant, dielectric
energy loss and variable field conductivity were calculated from the measurement. Dielectric
responses were examined according to temperature, frequency, thickness, additive type and
ratio.
