He was born in 1984 in Istanbul. As a gradute from Kartal Anadolu Imam-Hatip High School, 2002, he completed his BA Theology at Marmara University. After his military service in 2007, he became an Imam in Kandira/Kocaeli at the same year for a short time. He was granted the state fund in 2007 to pursue his post-graduate degree on Kalam, and accordingly, obtained his MA degree from SOAS with the dissertation titled, “Anti-atomistic Approaches in Classical Islamic Theology”. Since 2011, he is a research assistant of Kalam department at the Faculty of Theology in Istanbul University, working on a PhD project titled “Şemseddin Semerkandî’de Bilgi Teorisi” (Epistemology of Shams al-Din al-Samarqandi). Through his research, he was granted fellowships of YOK and TUBITAK to conduct research in The University of Jordan (10 months) and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (12 months). He is married with a child.
