Biography

Prof. Dr. Ertan Güdekli is a faculty member in the Department of Physics, Mathematical Physics Division, Faculty of Science, Istanbul University. He received his undergraduate degree from the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Istanbul University, and completed his master’s and doctoral studies in the Mathematical Physics Program at Istanbul University, Institute of Graduate Studies in Sciences.

His academic research focuses on mathematical physics, general relativity, cosmology, higher-order theories of gravity, brane-world models, dynamical systems, and differential equations. According to his AVESİS research profile, his research areas also include differential equations, topological groups, Lie groups, physics, astronomy and astrophysics, interdisciplinary physics and related science and technology fields, and basic sciences.

His studies mainly address the structure and evolution of the universe, gravitational theories, cosmological models, black hole physics, nonlinear systems, and theoretical models based on mathematical physics.

Prof. Dr. Güdekli has also contributed to the international literature through an equation bearing his name, the Akbota–Güdekli–Kairat–Zhaidary (AGKZ) equation. This equation is studied in the context of nonlinear integrable systems, soliton solutions, and space-curve models.

In addition to his research activities, Prof. Dr. Güdekli contributes to undergraduate and graduate education, supervises young researchers, and actively participates in national and international scientific collaborations.
