Res. Asst. Özge Nurcan TANZER

Biography

    Özge Nurcan TANZER was born in 1989 in Istanbul Kartal. She completed primary and secondary education in Gazi Mustafa Kemal Primary School in Kadikoy. She was also educated at Istanbul University State Conservatory Classical Music Violin Department in 1995. She continued her high school education at Galatasaray High School. She graduated from Istanbul University State Conservatory in 2007 ranked as first in class, and Galatasaray High School in 2008. She worked as an actress in the French Theater Company of Galatasaray High School and awarded second degree at the French Theater Festival in Sicily. Between 2001 and 2006, she studied at Istanbul Science and Arts Center where she had received education from special and gifted children chosen by the state and graduated from this center. During her studies, she took part in the project titled Young Being in Metropolis, a joint project with Istanbul University Civil Engineering Department. In July 2007, she worked as 2^nd violin at Istanbul University Conservatory Philharmonic Orchestra and represented Turkey at the Youth Festival in Berlin. In 2008, she started Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine and graduated from this university in 2014. During her university education, she worked in the student ensemble TurkMSIC and as of this task she completed her internship in the Department of Neurosurgery in the hospital of Spitalul Clinic De Urgente Prof. Dr. N.Oblu in Iasi, Romania. During her education, she practiced  fencing and theater. In 2015, she started Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurosurgery as a research assistant. Her assignment is still ongoing.

    She married İhsan Oğuz Tanzer in 2015 and had two children.

    She speaks English, French, Italian and Finnish.
