Proje Özeti

This research ‘‘International Collaboration Development Research’ with the title ‘Fiqh-Mitigation, Fatwa Authority, and Cross-Cultural Dynamics: Pandemic Responses in Indonesia, Turkey, and Morocco’’ proposal complements previous studies and aims to answer three primary research questions. First, how do the Muslim communities in Indonesia, Turkey and Morocco develop the Fiqh of Pandemic Mitigation? Second, How does the Fatwa Authority in Indonesia, Turkey and Morocco support the Fiqh of pandemic mitigation? Third, how are the cultural dynamics of Indonesian, Turkish, and Moroccan Muslims in building pandemic mitigation fiqh efforts? Based on these three focal points, this research aims to develop and improve pandemic mitigation fiqh by learning from the experiences of the Indonesian, Turkish and Moroccan Muslim communities in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite the existence of numerous studies on pandemic responses and mitigation strategies from various perspectives, there is a noticeable gap in research specifically addressing the integration of Fiqh principles within these strategies. This gap is particularly evident in the context of Islamic civilization's response to pandemics. Furthermore, there is limited scholarly work exploring how science and Fiqh of Civilization are harmonized in the pandemic mitigation efforts, especially in the Muslim communities of Indonesia, Turkey, and Morocco. This study aims to address this gap by providing an in-depth analysis of how these communities incorporate Fiqh alongside scientific approaches to effectively navigate the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. This research not only contributes to the field of Islamic jurisprudence and public health but also offers cross-cultural insights into the pandemic response strategies of diverse Muslim societies.
