Abstract

This study examines the development and current state of medical tourism in the examples of Russia and Türkiye. The aim of the research is to identify the key differences in the competitive power of the two countries, determine their strengths and weaknesses, and also outline the major obstacles and development prospects for the sector. In the research, qualitative method based on scientific literature, statistical sources and comparative SWOT analysis (qualitative method) was used. 18 Scientific sources and articles were used during the study. The results obtained showed that Türkiye has achieved a stronger position in the global market thanks to active government support, international accreditation of clinics, and effective marketing. Russia has high potential in the field of complex medical services and rehabilitation, but it faces challenges such as insufficient digitalization, weak promotion, and limited international visibility.
