Spor Salonunda Spor Yapanlarda Ortoreksiya Nervoza Belirtilerinin İncelenmesi

Özet

Bu araştırma, spor salonunda spor yapan kişilerde ortoreksiya nervoza belirtilerinin yay-gınlık durumunu incelemek amacıyla yapılmış-tır. Araştırmaya yaşları 20 ile 45 arasında deği-şen, spor yapan 44 kadın ve 56 erkek ile spor yapmayan 43 kadın ve 57 erkek katılmıştır. Bu gruplara; kişisel bilgi formu, ortoreksiya nervoza (ORTO15) testi ve Maudsley Obsesif Kompulsif Envanteri, Yeme Tutumu Testi (EAT-40) ve açık uçlu soruların bulunduğu bir anket uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada nicel bulgula-rın yanında nitel bulgulara da yer verilmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen nicel bulgulara göre, spor yapan kişilerin, daha fazla ortorektik belir-tiler gösterdikleri tespit edilmiştir. Spor yapan-larda yeme bozukluğu riski arttıkça ortoreksiya nervoza belirtilerinin; obsesif kompulsif bozuk-luk belirtileri arttıkça da ortoreksiya nervoza belirtilerinin de artış gösterdiği saptanmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen nitel bulgulara göre ise, spor yapanlar grubundaki ortorektiklerin, sağlıklı beslenmeyi bir yaşam tarzı olarak gör-dükleri ve yiyecek satın alırken en çok ürün bilgisine dikkat ettikleri tespit edilmiştir. Ortoreksiya nervoza yaygınlık durumu spor yapanlarda daha fazla görülmektedir.

This research is done to examine the prevalence and symptoms of orthorexia nervosa on those who sport in gym. Between the ages of 20 and 45, 44 female and 56 male who sport in gym and 43 female and 57 male who do not sport in gym participated in this research. A survey which contains demografic information form, Orthorexia Nervosa Test (ORTO-15), Maudsley Obsessive Compulsive Inventory, Eating Attitudes Test (EAT-40) and open-ended questions is applied to these groups. Quantitative findings are given in addtion to the qualitative findings in the research. According to quantitative results obtained from the research, people who sport in gym are determined to have more orthorexic symptoms. As eating disorder risk increases orthorexia nervosa indicators increase, as obsessive compulsive disorder indicators increase orthorexia nervosa indicators increase too among those who sport. According to the qualitative findings from the research, orthorexics who are in the group of sport people perceived healthy eating as a lifestyle and determined that they paid attention mostly to the product information during shopping for food. Prevalence of orthorexia nervosa much occurs on those who make sports.
