Özet

Prince Islands, like Istanbul, have a very long history. From time to time, the islands, which were used as exile, imprisonment, torture, execution, and later as a place of rest and entertainment - recreation area-, have been divided into a number of different periods depending on their use, population characteristics and social events throughout history. Located 25 km from the port of Istanbul, the islands have become a favorite tourism and recreation area for foreigners living in Istanbul, especially at the end of the 18th century. For many years, it has continued to be a recreation area where the elite class of Istanbul, where approximately 150-year-old stone buildings, summer houses and mansions are located, settled. Today, it preserves the effect it gained from the past as a mosaic of nature, history and culture.
