Ancient human DNA research is an increasingly important field in molecular biology studies in recent years. The interest in ancient DNA studies on the origins of ancient communities in our country has increased considerably in recent years. In this research, DNA isolation was made from the teeth of six different individuals obtained from the Balıkesir/Antandros Ancient City excavations. The HV1, HV2 and HV3 regions of mitochondrial DNA were amplified by the “Touchdown” PCR method using a total of 32 primer pairs. Replicated regions were sequenced and haplogroups of six individuals were identified. The fact that this study is an interdisciplinary study, it will sup-port the ongoing archaeological research in our country and will lay the groundwork for new studies in this field.
