Both higher education itself, and academic profession have grown and diversified in recent years. On the other side, as a customer in higher education, student satisfaction plays an active role on the quality of higher education institutions and reputation of the institution. The quality of exchange between students and academics is getting dramatically low, since the number of the students is raising and the number of academics remains the same. It is presumed that the quality of exchange in a higher education institution has a great effect on the satisfaction of the students and the job satisfaction of the academics, which is important for the total education quality and reputation of the institution. The personality of students and academic staff are also considered as factor that play significant role on the quality of exchange. In this study we discuss a conceptual framework about the role of big five personality traits and leader member exchange on satisfaction in higher education.
