Özet

Individuals that are diff erent from the majority in terms of their various characteristics and groups of these individuals are excluded and marginalized by other individuals / groups that make up the majority in that society. This marginalization leads to the consequences of public health. The primary duty of all health workers, especially public health workers, should be to advocate for measures to minimize the impact of a large number of factors leading to inequalities in health outcomes. In this article, the findings of the studies conducted both in our country and internationally are presented to the problems of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI+) people who are among the community groups where discrimination and exclusion are most concretized. In the light of these findings, the best practices were given in the field of public health and other health services, as well as the training of health workers who will plan and deliver these services.
