Digital transformation is the process of radically changing business processes and corporate operations with digital
technologies. The ability to carry out this process is related to the digital maturity of the organization. Digital
capabilities don't just include technology used in an organization. Digital maturity is not about what technology
the organization has, how advanced technology it has, or how much investment has been made in this technology.
How digital are corporate business processes? Is it mostly digital or is there room for improvement? Do employees
in the organization feel comfortable in digital processes? It's about the answers to your questions. If employees do
not use a system that was established by spending large amounts of money because it is too complex, the institution

is digitally immature. The rapid technological changes in the world, the increasing efficiency needs of
organizations and the fact that sustainability is paramount make digital maturity very important for organizations
and defines an organization's ability to respond to and adapt to disruptive technological trends, which should be
considered as a process rather than a goal.
The aim of this study is to carry the discussion of digital maturity to libraries experiencing digital transformation,
to determine digital maturity levels of libraries and to plan digital transformation processes in a healthier way. At
this stage of the study, the methods used to determine the levels of digital maturity in institutions were analyzed,
a working model has been defined in a way to determine processes, technology use and the applicability of digital
maturity models in libraries. A research was conducted to determine the level of digital maturity in libraries,
specifically for the Islamic Studies Center (İSAM) Library. The data, which lies in the basis of this study, were
obtained through interviews with the ISAM Library directorate, digitization unit, archive unit and Information
Processing Directorate.
