Özet

This paper attempts to examine their perception as a diaspora based on oral literature data recorded directly from the ‘Koryein’ of Kazakhstan. oral literature contains individual memories along with common experiences accumulated over a long time during the transmission process. It has been passed down from mouth to mouth in the past, and it reflects the specificity of a specific period while containing the original life of human existence. Therefore, if we analyze the oral stories of the

‘Koryein’, we will be able to capture the identity as a diaspora formed in the process of those who traveled to various regions and lived as migrants gradually settling down as regular residents. For example, if you look at the folktales data dictated by the ‘Koryein’, the motifs of 'family' and 'hometown' appear at a particularly high frequency. It can be said that this is an unconscious reflection of the trajectory of their lives as a diaspora. In this regard, this paper aims to examine their identity more closely through the analysis of the oral stories of the ‘Koryein’ and further lay the foundation for understanding their lives.
