Özet

Growth and morphological responses of A/nus hirsuta Trucz., Populus alba L. and Taxodium distichum L. lree species were examined under flooding conditions at different water |evels. Flooding treatments were started both in the early growing season and in the late growing season to explain effects of the flooding time on the plant species. Some of the A. hlrsufa saplings died on|y in the early growing season treatments, while all saplings ot P. alba and T. distıchum survived both in the early growing season and in the late growing season treatment groups. Flooding affected height growth and branch length increment of saplings differently due to plant species and time of the flooding. The development of adventitious roots on the submerged stems was observed in A, hirsuta and P. alba saplings. ln T. distichum saplings, the diameter growth of the submerged stems was accelerated under the flooding conditions without the development of adventitious roots on the submerged stems.
