Objectives: To evaluate the influence of periodontal therapy on glycosylated hemoglobin and fasting blood glucose and serum levels of interleukin (IL)-4, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) in chronic periodontitis (CP) patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and in controls.
