Özet

The perception is widely held that the growth of the IT sector has become a major contributor to the recent economic growth and improvement of the productivity. Productivity is a concept that affects domestic economy and foreign trade volume of a country directly. Although it requires a painstaking effort to pin down all the variables that the production and productivity depend on, it is be possible to establish a relationship between IT investment, productivity, economy and foreign trade volume. This paper seeks to investigate the impact of IT on Turkey's foreign trade volume by using correlation method. (C) 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
