Abstract

Recently, with the development of adhesive dentistry, multistep dentin bonding to dental tissues was modified to simplified and more user friendly adhesive systems. The mechanism of adhesion is based on the mechanical interlocking within the formation of hybrid layer. Hibrization quality is effected by the type of the adhesive system, dental tissue, application method, materials consistence and physical and chemical properties. The aim of this review is to evaluate the hybridization quality of current adhesive systems.
