Sinekkaya Cave was visited by the Principal Investigators of the ERC Synergy Project "Last Neanderthals".

Prof. Dr. Francesco BERNA from the University of Siena and Prof. Dr. Stefano BENAZZI from the University of Bologna, principal invetigators of the LAST NEANDERTHALS project supported by the European Research Council (ERC) of the European Union (EU), visited Sinekkaya Cave on 26 September 2024. 

During the visit, we gave information about the importance of Sinekkaya Cave for Palaeolithic and exchanged ideas about the dating methods, DNA and animal remains analyses we plan to apply in the future.
