Our group is currently involved with active investigations into a variety of multiple areas of research including the organic chemistry, synthetic medicinal chemistry and bioorganic chemistry. We are interested in the design of anticancer lead molecules for the site-specific activation in cancer cell lines, mode of actions; additionally, design of antimicrobial lead molecules, and the development of organic synthetic methodology. Specifically, efforts are being focused on the design, synthesis and evaluation of anticancer lead molecules for the treatment of advanced leukemia and breast cancer, and the discovery of small molecule inhibitors of interactions with promising biological profiles. Exciting outgrowths of these two main areas are the structural product collections. These valuable product collections may find a new host in the assays of our biological collaborators and may start their new journey.
