Abstract

The rapid growth in data volume and diversity has made it essential to develop innovative approaches for managing and analyzing multidimensional data. One of the most advanced methods in this field is data cube technology. The structuring, analysis, and visualization of multidimensional spatial and temporal data have found significant practical applications, particularly with the emergence of the "geographic data cube" concept. Furthermore, as an example, this study presents the geographic data cube developed using satellite images and geographic data within the Urban Development Explorations using Natural Experiments (UDENE) project. In the proposed platform, various satellite images are stored and indexed within a single data cube. The findings indicate that the data cube approach offers significant advantages over traditional methods, particularly in terms of data storage efficiency. However, challenges such as real-time data processing and hardware infrastructure requirements remain obstacles to the widespread adoption of this technology. Toward the conclusion of the study, recommendations are provided for future research, focusing on enhancing data cube systems by integrating machine learning and cloud computing architectures, as well as expanding multidimensional data processing capabilities in data analytics applications.
