Although previous studies have been conducted on geotourism, existing research predominantly focuses on the geological and economic aspects of geotourism, leaving a significant gap in understanding visitor experiences. Based on this gap, this study aims to explore the components that shape visitors' experiences at geoheritage sites. To achieve this, a netnographic research approach was employed. Online reviews (N = 361) from visitors were analyzed using data gathered from the travel platform TripAdvisor. In this context, this study examined the comments made by visitors who visited Huangshan UNESCO Global Geopark. The findings revealed that visitors' experiences at geoheritage sites are a multifaceted construct, comprising seven key components: "wellness-recovery, social interactions, escapism-novelty, aesthetic, adventure-excitement, wildlife encounters, and personal growth." The study highlights that visitors seek more than just sightseeing and nature observation; they are looking for deeper, enriching experiences that cater to their mental, physical, and social needs. The theoretical contribution and practical implications of these findings are discussed, and suggestions for future research are provided. Uncovering these previously unexplored dimensions contributes to the body of knowledge on geotourism. From a practical perspective, this paper can guide stakeholders in developing better geotourism services in destinations.
