Artificial intelligence is a technological development that has profoundly impacted numerous disciplines worldwide. It has become widely used in various fields, including economics, education, translation, cinema, and photography. While it is evident that people are starting to integrate artificial intelligence into their lives, whether they will also incorporate it into the religious field remains a matter of curiosity. This research is a scale development study that examines individual attitudes toward the use of artificial intelligence in religious contexts. University students and academics with knowledge of artificial intelligence participated in the research process of the scale. In the 2024 study, 354 participants participated in the initial application, and 315 attended the follow-up application. According to the exploratory factor analysis findings, the KMO value was 0.93, and the X(2)value was determined to be significant based on the Bartlett's test. It was determined that 29 items with an eigenvalue above one were gathered under four factors: anxiety, benefit, trust, and doubt, which explained 58.42% of the scale's total variance of the scale. The item discrimination analysis of the upper and lower groups showed that each factor of the scale has a discrimination feature. According to the confirmatory factor analysis findings, it was determined that "X-2=2.24; RMSEA=0.06, CFI=0.91, IFI=0.91, TLI/NNFI=0.91, PGFI=0.71, and PNFI=0.77". Accordingly, it was determined that the model's values were acceptable and that the model used to form the scale structure showed a good fit. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were conducted to validate the Attitude Scale Towards the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Religious Fields, revealing that the scale is valid. In the reliability analysis, it was found that the scale was reliable with values of 0.94 for the whole scale and 0.91, 0.89, 0.83, and 0.86 for its sub-dimensions, respectively. These data show that the Attitude Scale Towards the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Religious Fields is valid and reliable in the current sample and context. As a result, the Attitude Scale Towards the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Religious Fields can be used to measure individuals' attitudes toward the use of artificial intelligence in religious areas and practices.
