Abstract

Feed additives including antibiotics and synthetic antimicrobial agents have frequently been used for improving animals health, for faster growth, and for increasing feed conversion ratio. At present time, interest to the use of probiotics in broilers as an alternative to antibiotic has increased (Yavuz, 2001). The objective of the present study was to determine the effect of probiotics on live weight gain, on feed conversion ratio, and on production cost in broilers.
