Özet

In the second half of the nineteenth century, dramas appeared in the moderate Spain which turned out to be a point of reference to observe the socio-cultural changes in the Spanish society of the time. The theatre of Spanish high-level comedy was focusing on announcing all sorts of deficiencies of the society: corruption, ambition, and infidelity. The scene was reduced to the familiar environment and represented a part of the surrounding reality. The roles attributed to the female and the role performed by women in the society would not depend neither on the biological distinction nor on the social condition of women.
