Abstract

We study biwarped product submanifolds with a slant base factor in locally product Riemannian manifolds. We prove an existence theorem for such submanifolds. Then we give a necessary and sufficient condition for such a manifold to be a warped prod-uct. We establish a general inequality for such submanifolds. The equality case is also considered. Moreover, we give an application of this inequality.
