The knowledge and competence lie at the center of nursing education. So, theoretical
and practical have equel importance within nursing curricula. Portfolio is a tool that
commonly used to learning and assessment in nursing education. Portfolio is a
effective tool that encourage to student for both personel and professional
development. In nursing education and clinical placements, portfolios are used both as
a learning tool and as an assessment tool. Portfolio have become a alternative method
to the traditional assessment methods. A portfolio is generally coceptualized as a
collection of the students work or collection that evidences incremental development.
The purpose of this paper is to give knowledge about use portfolio and a standardized
approach to assessing clinical competence in nursing student.
Hemşirelik eğitiminin temelinde beceride yeterlilik ve bilgi yatmaktadır. Bu nedenle,
hemşirelik eğitiminde teori ve uygulama eşit öneme sahiptir. Portfolyo genellikle
hemşirelik eğitiminde yaygın olarak kullanılan eğitim ve değerlendirme aracıdır.
Portfolyo hem bireysel hem de mesleki gelişimi için öğrenciyi cesaretlendiren etkili bir
araçtır. Hemşirelik eğitiminde ve klinik uygulamalarda, portfolyo hem bir öğrenme
aracı hem de bir değerlendirme aracı olarak kullanılır. Portfolyo, geleneksel
değerlendirme yöntemlerine alternatif bir yöntemdir. Portfolyo, öğrencinin
çalışmalarını ya da gelişimini kanıtlayan çalışmaların toplanması için
yapılandırılmıştır. Bu makalenin amacı hemşirelik eğitiminde portfolyo kullanımı ve
klinik yeterliliğin değerlendirilmesinde standart hale getirilmiş yaklaşım hakkında bilgi
vermektir.
