Abstract

Mucormycosis, caused by fungi of the order Mucorales, is an opportunistic and invasive fungal disease with high morbidity and mortality. The most important underlying conditions are diabetic ketoacidosis, neutropenia and corticosteroid therapy. We describe a case of mucormycosis with multiple risk factors.
