Özet

The aim of this study was to test the validity and reliability of Emotional Security Scale (ESS) which is developed by Davies, Forman, Rasi ve Stevens (2002) in university students. The research was conducted on 370 university students. The participants completed the ESS and Children's Appraisals of Marital Conflict in classroom situation. The factor analysis resulted in six factors that is very similar to the original scale and consistent with theory. Cronbach's alpha values of subscales were found between .68-.88. These results suggest that Emotional Security Scale is a valid and reliable instrument for university students.
