Abstract

Art and medicine for centuries in interaction explores the secrets of the body. Visual arts, design, engraving, woodcut, painting. etc by visualizing the discovered information, is used in medical education. Those pictures are intended to show the correct body information. New information, in areas such as anatomy, pharmacology, surgery etc, these images are recorded visually on clay tablets, in manuscript, papyrus, books. etc. Cooperation of artists-doctors whom are effective in forming of these recordings continues until modernism. While the published books provide resources for education, it becomes an aesthetic statement by the artist. Recent technological developments, with a three-dimensional medical illustrations of the artist, reveal the true information and very educational.
