Türkiye’de Jeomorfoloji Bilimi’nin Tarihçesi (1915-2016).

Özet

Cumhuriyeti’mizin kuruluşundan günümüze kadar, ülkemizde Türkiye Coğrafyası’na paralel olarak fiziki coğrafyanın alt disiplinlerinden biri olarak gelişen jeomorfoloji’nin nitelikleri analiz edilirse; bu bilim dalının bugünkü durumuna erişmek için birbirinden farklarla ayrılan şu  üç  gelişim  döneminden  geçtiği  anlaşılır:  (1)  Modern  Jeomorfoloji  Öncesi  Dönem  (1933  öncesi),  (2)  Modern  Jeomorfolojinin  Kuruluşu,  Teşkilatlanması  ve  Yükseliş  Dönemi  (1933-1999),  (3)  Bilgisayar  Çağı: Uzaktan  Algılama  ve  Coğrafi  Bilgi  Sistemleri Uygulamaları  Dönemi  (2000-2016).  Bu  makalede,  yukarıda sayılan  bu  dönemler  ve  dönemlerde  gelişen  süreçler,  ortaya  çıkan  eserler  ve  bunları  oluşturan  akademisyenler  ve  araştırmacılar  üzerinde  detaylı  durulmuş  ve  Türkiye’de  Jeomorfoloji’nin  Gelişim  Tarihçesi  nedenleriyle  açıklanmaya  çalışılmıştır. Bu çalışma,  ekteki bibliyografyada da görüleceği üzere; 2010 tarihinde tarafımızdan kaleme alınıp 2012 yılında TÜBA (Türkiye  Bilimler Akademisi) tarafından yayınlanan kitaptaki bölümümüzün (“Türkiye’de Jeomorfoloji Araştırmaları (1923-2010)” genişletilerek ve  2011-2016 yılları arasındaki gelişmeler de ilave edilerek, burada genişletilerek yayınlanması yoluna gidilmiştir (Ertek, 2012).  Anahtar kelimeler: Türkiye Jeomorfolojisi Tarihçesi, Jeomorfoloji, Bilim Tarihi, Türkiye. 

If  the  qualities  of  the  geomorphology  analyses  that  develops  as  one  of  the  sub-disciplines  of  physical  geography  parallel  to the Geography of Turkey in our country from the foundation of our republic to the day, it is understood that the three branches of development that differ from each other in order to attain the present state of this branch of science: (1) Pre-Modern Geomorphology Period (Before 1933), (2) The Establishment and Organization of Modern Geomorphology and the Period of Ascension (1933-1999), (3) Computer Age:  Periods of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems Applications (2000-2016). In this article, the processes that emerged during these periods and periods mentioned above, the artifacts that emerged, and the academicians and researchers who occurred them, were elaborated and tried to be explained due to the History of Development of Geomorphology in Turkey. This study, as seen in the following  bibliography, we are pleased to announce that we will be able to write our article in 2010 ("Geomorphology Researches in Turkey (1923-2010)" published by TÜBA (Turkish Academy of Sciences) in 2012 (Ertek, 2012).  Keywords: The History of Geomorphology Science, Geomorphology, Science History, Turkey.
