Özet

Aim: Abdominal aortic aneurysm rupture results massive haematoma and bleeding which can lead to fatal unless untreated. Open

surgery for ruptured abdominal aortic aneuryms still has higher mortality rates .Endovascular aneursym repair (EVAR) is a minimally

invasive technique which has less postoperative morbidity and mortality than open surgery.

Material and Methods: In our study, between 2014 and 2024 we evaluated the emergency endovascular aneurysm repair for

ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysms.

Results: 52 of patients had successful emergency EVAR with mortality rate was 13.5% (7patients, 5 male, 2 female). Compared

to open surgery rate of cardiac, pulmonary, renal and bleeding complicaitons were significantly lower. Perioperatively, there were

type II endoleaks in 8 of patients. Dialysis requirement was observed in 9 patients. 4 patients developed type I or III endoleaks were

observed in 12 patients in 6 months postoperatively.

Conclusion: Endovascular treatment for ruptured abdominal aortic aneursyms was beneficial therapy although long term data was

lacking
