In this study, various physical and mechanical properties of Crimean juniper (Juniper excelsa L.) wood, salvaged from the roof of a demolished warehouse used for 180 years, were determined and compared with those of wood from freshly cut trees. The results indicate that while the physical properties of the salvaged juniper wood were significantly affected by the 180-year service life, the mechanical properties, with the exception of impact and shear strength, were only slightly affected.
