Özet

Aromatic plant-based nanoemulsions stand out as pharmaceutical delivery systems that offer natural and innovative solutions in the cosmetics field. This section primarily evaluates aromatic plants from a pharmaceutical botany perspective, examining the taxonomic classifications, botanical identification criteria, geographical distributions, and phytochemical contents of the main species used. The chemical structure of essential oils, consisting of key components (monoterpenes, sesquiterpenes, etc.), their chemotype differences, and biological effects are discussed. Furthermore, the antimicrobial mechanisms of essential oils and potential interactions related to resistance development are discussed. The pharmaceutical significance of nanoemulsion technology is evaluated through its ability to increase the bioavailability of bioactive substances, improve skin penetration, and provide targeted delivery. Additionally, microbiological stability, natural and synthetic preservative systems, GMP, and cosmetic quality standards in prepared herbal nanoemulsions are examined. The potential effects of aromatic nanoemulsions on skin microbiota, quality control, and pharmacopoeial compliance processes are discussed. From a clinical perspective, scientific evidence on anti-acne, antiaging, and anti-inflammatory effects is presented, and future perspectives of these systems as topical drug carriers are revealed.
