Abstract

Iliac crest is the most frequently used anatomical area as extra-oral donor site in cases with severe atrophy. Although obtaining sufficient graft material in terms of quality and quantity, and easy to access area for surgery, this surgical procedure has many complications. This case report describes postoperative avulsion fracture in the iliac bone, which is one of the rare complications.

İliak krest ileri düzeyde atrofi gözlenen olgularda ekstraoral donör saha olarak en sık kullanılan anatomik alandır. Nitelik ve nicelik bakımından yeterli greft materyali elde edilebilmesi ve cerrahi erişimi kolay bir bölge olmasının yanı sıra bu cerrahi prosedürün birçok komplikasyonu bulunmaktadır. Bu vaka raporunda nadir komplikasyonlardan biri olan iliak kemikte meydana gelen postoperatif avülsiyon kırığı anlatılmaktadır.
