APLICACIÓN DEL MARCO PETRA-E PARA LA FORMACIÓN DE TRADUCTORES LITERARIOS ESP-TUR EN LA UNIVERSIDAD DE ESTAMBUL
De forma paralela al Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para las Lenguas, una serie de universidades e instituciones europeas han creado un marco orientado a la formación de traductores literarios basado en distintas competencias y niveles: el marco PETRA-E.
Teniendo en cuenta que una de las principales salidas del departamento de Lengua y Literatura Españolas de la Universidad de Estambul es la traducción y la escasa formación profesional de los estudiantes en el ámbito de la traducción editorial, el marco PETRA-E ofrece un posible enfoque sistemático para mejorar su preparación. Así pues, un grupo de profesores nos planteamos la posibilidad de utilizarlo como referencia en un proyecto orientado a estudiantes interesados en trabajar como traductores literarios, muy escasos en el par de lenguas que nos ocupa.
El trabajo se está desarrollando mediante traducciones de cuentos de Emilia Pardo Bazán y una serie de cuestionarios, así como la traducción del propio marco al turco. En una segunda fase pasaremos a colaborar con la editorial Everest para que nuestros estudiantes puedan beneficiarse de una experiencia editorial profesional auténtica y ya que orientamos sus traducciones a la publicación. Por fin, tenemos previsto colaborar con la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid en el futuro.
En nuestra ponencia pretendemos (a) exponer las líneas generales de nuestro proyecto y (b) presentar los resultados obtenidos hasta ese momento.

THE USE OF THE PETRA-E FRAME IN THE TRAINING OF LITERARY TRANSLATORS SP-TK
IN ISTANBUL UNIVERSITY
Parallel to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, a number of European universities and institutions have created a framework for the training of literary translators based on different skills and levels: the PETRA-E framework.
Considering that one of the main career opportunities of the Department of Spanish Language and Literature at Istanbul University is translation, as well as the low professional training of students in the field of editorial translation, the PETRA-E framework offers a possible systematic approach. to improve their preparation. Thus, us, a group of teachers, considered the possibility of using it as a reference in a project aimed at students interested in working as literary translators, which are highly sought after by publishers in this language pair (Spanish-Turkish).
Our project is being carried out through translations of short stories by Emilia Pardo Bazán and a series of questionnaires, as well as the translation of the framework itself into Turkish. In a second phase, and since we guide their translations towards publication, we will go on to collaborate with the Everest publishing house so that our students can benefit from an authentic professional editorial experience. Finally, we plan to collaborate with the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid in the future.
In our presentation we intend to present (a) the general lines of our project and (b) the results obtained up to the present.
