This study examines the relationships between tourist guide performance (TGP) and tourists' green consumption intention (GCI) and subjective well-being (SWB) in the context of sustainable tourism. In this regard, it aims to provide insights into the effects of these antecedents on tourists' sustainable consumption intentions. Additionally, it seeks to reveal the mediating role of SWB in the effect of TGP on GCI. In line with the study's objectives, an online survey was administered to Turkish visitors touring cultural heritage sites in T & uuml;rkiye with the assistance of professional tourist guides. The 281 collected surveys were analysed using structural equation modelling. As a result, it was determined that TGP positively affects SWB and GCI, and that SWB plays a mediating role in this relationship. This study demonstrates that tourists' sustainable behaviours can be shaped by tourist guide performance, thereby proving the contributions of tourist guides beyond the provision of quality services. This finding provides important insights for tourism sector policymakers, as TGP can encourage green consumption among tourists.
