Abstract

This study dwells on the observation that war is inherently within the realm of human decision-making and that people can choose to be good or bad at any moment, for any duration, or in any action, which is generally overlooked. Generally, due to the excitement of the accompanying music, colors, allure of the subject, and other stimuli, many people fail to perceive this conflict and other types of war as part of narratives. The notions of "spare time and leisure" or "entertainment" attributed to media narratives might also cause people to fail to truly perceive physical or psychological struggle. Using a mixed-method approach, this study focuses on the symbolic, analysis of life and death issues in the animated film Riverdance (2021) within the framework of "death and life" and their reflections in cultures. The findings put forward that beyond simply telling a story, the narrative focuses on narrating St. Patrick's Day in a way that facilitates marketing and popularization.
