Abstract

© 2018 Peeters Publishers. All rights reserved. This article represents a joint effort of a Turcologist and a Mongolist to present a new interpretation of a bilingual fragment kept in the museum section of the library of the Istanbul University and probably dating from the fifteenth century. This is likely the latest text written in 'Phags-pa Mongolian script and one of the earliest samples of pre-Chagatay Turkic in Old Uyghur script.
