Özet

A 53-year-old man with Val30Met hereditary transthyretin amyloidosis (hATTR) developed a highly mobile pulmonary valve mass with severe pulmonary regurgitation. Concomitant methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) bacteremia raised suspicion for infective endocarditis. Echocardiography and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging characterized the lesion but could not establish its etiology. Surgical excision and pulmonary valve replacement were performed, and histopathological examination demonstrated Congo red–positive amyloid deposition. This case highligts that atypical cardiac manifestations beyond myocardial infiltration can occur in patients with hATTR. We present a case of isolated pulmonary valvular amyloid infiltration without overt myocardial involvement in Val30Met-associated hATTR.
