Personality traits, emotional intelligence and career adaptability are features that have an impact on toruism students willingness to pursue careers in their department. The aim of this study is to investigate how personality traits and emotional intelligence are effective in the career adaptability of students who are educated in tourism and their desire to pursue a career in tourism. The undergraduate students (ninety seven female, one hundred and three male; fifty-five first grade, thirty-nine second class, thirty-eight third grade, sixty-seven fourth grade) were
included in the study. Eleven item item Demographic Variables Scale, five factor ten item personality trait scale, three factor twentieth item Emotional Intelligence scale, four factor twenty four item Career Adaptability Scale and five item Tourism Demand Career Scale were used. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistical
information, frequency frequency tables, variable means, correlation coefficient and regression analysis. In the study, it was found that there were significant relationships between personality traits, emotional intelligence and career adaptation skillswith desire to pursue a career in tourism.
