Abstract

Hydatid disease of the urinary tract is extremely rare and constitutes approximately 4% of all cases of hydatid disease. The Echinococcus multilocularis is a relatively rare form of echinococcus as the cause of renal hydatid disease. We describe a patient who had renal hydatidosis which is rarely caused by the E. multilocularis. Copyright (C) 2001 S. Karger AG, Basel.
