AACSB Akreditasyonunun Faydaları ve Akreditasyon Sürecinin Güçlükleri

Özet

Günümüzde eğitimde akreditasyonun önemi hızla artmaktadır. İşletme ve muhasebe eğitimi ile ilgili olarak uluslararası platformda en yaygın kabul gören akreditasyon AACSB International tarafından verilmektedir. Ülkemizde de akreditasyon sürecini başlatmış olan ve bu sürece girme niyetinde olan okul sayısı gün geçtikçe artmaktadır. Bu çalışmada akreditasyon sürecinde olan işletme okullarının atmaları gereken adımlar, akreditasyondan sağlanacak faydalar ve bu süreçte karşılaşabilecek güçlükler ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada sunulan bilgilerin, işletme akreditasyonu ve muhasebe akreditasyonu alma sürecine girme niyetinde olan fakülte dekanlarının, işletme bölüm başkanlarının, muhasebe anabilim dalı başkanlarının ve öğretim üyelerinin ilgisini çekeceği düşünülmektedir. 

The importance of accreditation has been increasing rapidly. The most widely accepted accreditation at international level about business and accounting education is the AACSB accreditation. In our country, the number of business schools in accreditation process has been increasing as well. In this study, the footsteps that should be taken by the schools in the accreditation process are explained. The benefits of accreditation and the challenges during accreditation process are also addressed. The information provided in this study is expected to be of interest to school deans, heads of business departments and accounting department chairs and faculty, of whose schools or departments are in accreditation process.
