All rights reserved.Cancer, is a common disease that is increasing rapidly in prevalence worldwide, affecting the life quality negatively and threatening the peoples’ lives. Besides the genetic factors, the environmental and chemical factors also play an important role in the cancer incidence and progressing. Among different protocols used in cancer management the uses of anti-cancer drugs (chemotherapy) assume the most basic approaches. Despite the high success of chemotherapy in stop or control the cancer progresses, the side effects of those medicines adversely affect the recovery process and could cause the treatment failure. Neuropathy is one of the side effects frequently associated with drugs used in cancer chemotherapy. In this review, we have compiled and discussed chemotherapy induced neuropathies, hypothesis explain the mechanisms of neuropathy, and the treatment methods used for prevention or treatment of neuropathy.
