As a woman, Leyla Erbil is one of the leading authors in Turkish literature both with themes and styles she chose to use in her each work. She tells the events she witnessed in her life with a focus on her conscious and subconscious spheres of mind making her writing into a complex state of language. It's not just the writing style but also her stance towards life that made her come to the fore as a pioneering author in the country. She became one of the strongest representatives of the modernist Turkish literature through her novels, novellas, letters, short stories and other works under different genres. The most striking point of her style is that the reader encounters an experimental language in the book with reflections from newspapers, philosophical texts, sacred texts, hymns, sayings, idioms, etc.. In this paper, her novella ‘’The Dwarf’’ is taken into focus by analyzing the style of language and line of the narration she followed in telling the story. In the first part of the paper, linguistic aspects of the novella are analyzed. The most important function of this part is to show the complexity of her language use which is differentiated in each section of the book. In the second part, the line of narration is analyzed in order to show the change of language with the appearance of each protagonist under each section. So, the reader will better understand who is who and who is telling what in the novella. In the last part of the presentation, based on the analysis of linguistic and narrative aspects, a directive is drawn upon for a translator that is willing to take over the mission and vision to translate memories of a neutered woman in a book by a revolutionary author from an oppressing country. By this way, the translator is given the chance to gain insight about how to carry the taste of the original text to the target readers.
