The aim of this study was to evaluate the panoramic radiographs of the patients taken at the initial visit to Department of Pediatric Dentistry. The patients were selected randomly for this study and 250 panoramic radiographs was taken from 250 patients aged between 4-13 years. Oral and maxillofacial lesions, dental anomalies, eruption problems, trauma, carious teeth, restorations and tooth loss of the patients were recorded by analyzing the panoramic radiographs. 19 macrodontia(7.6%), 1 microdontia (0,4%), 11 hipodontia (4,4%), 2 supernumerary tooth (0,8%), 2 mesiodens (0,8%), 1 root anomaly(0,4%), 10 talon's cusp(4%), 1 gemination (0, 4 %), 23 eruption cysts (9,2 %), 51 tooth loss (2 0,4 %) and 10 trauma cases(4%) were observed. Early treatment can be made by early diagnosis and routine examination. Panoramic radiograph upon the initial visit may be useful for children and also may be helpful to published recommendations on radiographic examinations.
