Abstract

Abstract

A new rearranged abietane diterpene, candidissiol was isolated from the roots of Salvia candidissimatogether with four known compounds, manoyloxide, pachystazone, 20-deoxocarnosol and aethiopinone. The structures of the compounds were established by spectral methods.

In addition to four known diterpenoids, a new rearranged abietane diterpene, candidissiol (1) was isolated from the roots of Salvia candidissima and its structure was established by spectroscopic means.
