From the roots of Aconitum leave Royle growing wild in Northern Pakistan, Swat district, three new alkaloids, 8-methyl-lycaconitine (1), 14-demethyllycaconitine (2), N-deethyllycaconitine-N-aldehyde (3) have been isolated along with four known compounds, lappaconitine (4), lycaconitine (5), lapaconidine (6) and lycoctonine (7).
