Özet

The Republic of Türkiye has attached great importance to research, education, and training regarding Turkish history since its establishment and provided the opportunity for much scientific research and many studies in this field. Throughout the historical process, these studies and research are known to have in fact started during the Ottoman Empire. At the end of the 18th century and throughout the 19th century, scientific studies on raising national consciousness among Ottoman intellectuals actually began being carried out, albeit to a lesser extent, and this yielded its results at the beginning of the 20th century. The study will first provide some brief information about this historical process and then attempt to reveal the point reached regarding Turkish history in Eastern Europe during the One-Party period (i.e., Republican era).
