This study was to explain that on the assumption of the originality of this myth, the rough behavior of Hallakgungi shown in <igongbonpuli> was related to the universal human psychological problem, complex. On that account, in terms of the concept of Phaeton complex, psychological problem of Hallakgungi due to absence of his father and the narrative of Hallakgungi inspired by this were looked into in detail. Through this research, it was confirmed that the reason for the rough behavior which Hallakgungi showed was his complex. In addition, it was confirmed that the narrative of Hallakgungi at the point where the complex was overcome obtained sacredness in order to secure success.
The important thing is that in the narrative of Hallakgungi the acquisition of sacredness and overcoming of complex were achieved at the moment he returned to the real life of his mother again and resurrected his dead mother.
Hallakgungi returned to the space he denied and left for himself again, and after all got rid of the elements that oppressed him in the space and by doing so he could overcome his complex. This shows that it is important not to get out of the environment which causes complex to you, but to realize the value of the space for your real life and make efforts to improve the reality. Like this the human psychological problems depend not only on outside conditions.
As the narrative of Hallakgungi shows, to overcome complex with feeling of satisfaction through external conditions or acknowledgment by other people has a limit. Through the process of Hallakgungi to overcome his complex and to obtain sacredness, <igongbonpuli> shows that after all you should admit and face up to your own deficiency and should make earnest effort to compensate for such deficiency.
