Abstract

The Qur'an contains many scientific disciplines in it. One of them is the recitation of the Qur'an. Hz. The Prophet (s.a.v.), Praised the recitation of the Qur’an with beautiful sound and makams. In order to be worthy of this praise and to make the Qur'an feel in the hearts of people, they carried recitation to the dimension of art. Musikisinas is that readers form their own unique reading attitudes due to the influence of the geographies they are located in over time. The most commonly used attitudes among these attitudes are the Istanbul and Arab attitudes. In this study, after touching on the topic of “attitude”, the “Istanbul Attitude” based in Turkey, which is the most widely listened to and read in the world in Qur’an recitation, and the “Arab Attitude” based in Egypt are examined. In addition, the lives of the most famous examples of these attitudes, Üsküdar Ali Efendi and Abdulbasıt Abdüssamed, are briefly explained. The recitations we determined with experts in the field were translated into notation and analyzed. The notes were written by musikişinas Ahmet Sadik Kara and Mustafa Enes Güzel using the Dorico notation writing system.
